Was a good friend of mine in the 80's.  That song reminded me of when we staggeed back to his Mum's to watch Rod in concert one Christmas eve.

He stayed at mine for a while, he was getting deeper into the drugs towards the end,. Used to spend time at his Mum and Dads. Knew Scott well too.

Can't find the pic of them both at the Casino..

Found it.

Yes, he would. Kerr was a bit older than me. It was his Mother's birthday last weekend and I was invited to the 'do'. That's what got me remembering

Always thought you were a lot younger, Mac, possibly 30 plus. By that I mean you not coming into contact with older lads, if you get my drift.

Yes, am a bit older than 30's but Kerr decided to take me under his wing for a bit and get me into scrapes.

Remember Scott and Andy Atkinson whizzing along Caroline St on a Vespa. Andy lost control and they slid down the road, coming to a halt wearing few clothes. The slide removed the trousers from the pair(mostly Andy). Scott had a bit of a limop from then. Then he jumped the gap between walls at the male toilets top of Wigan. He missed and got a pronounced limp from that after snapping his ankle..

I just thought he limped from the scooter crash, Mac, that's going back some years.

Without seeming pedantic on your remembrance post, Mac their name was Barrie.

Dear Lord it was. Embarassed

Je did have a limp from the crash, but he snapped his anlke jumping over the wall....That's where his more pronounced limp came from.

I heard of him jumping the bogs and hurting himself. Nothing ever surprised me what the both of them did. Shame the path Kerr took later though, he could be a real laugh.

Yes, he did something that I could have got into very serious trouble over and I couldn't do anything about it. He moved away shortly after. But I still forgave him.

It's hard when people you think you know well drop you in it. That's how we learn I suppose.

Still, I enjoyed both their company many years ago and it was nice to see them on your photo once again. Cheers.

Kerr Barrie

I remember hearing that name somewhere in the early 1970's and it was an unusual name for a Wigan lad, not your normal John, David, Michael etc

Did he go to the Deanery?

I think he did, Sir Bob. His Dad was a Scotsman. His Staff dog was called Macclesfield.

Yes he went to the Deanery, he left in 74. By the way his name was 'John' Kerr Barry.
