WR Cryptic Crossword Clues 23-5-18

A very warm welcome to the Rejects crossworders.
Have a bash at these brainy belters.

1)  Turner delayed about an hour.  (5)   _ _ _ _ _
An easy one to start us off.
A 4 letter word for being DELAYED, with the abbreviation
for an hour inside.
TURNER in this case is a machine tool.  


2)  Place trap carelessly and this may be upset.  (9)   _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
An anagram (carelessly) of PLACE TRAP.


3) Stick semi-digested food with jelly.  (6)   C _ _ _ _  _
A cow's semi-digested food followed by a 3 letter word for JELLY.
STICK in this case is a weapon.
 

4)  For example, good chess player may be beaten by a whisker.  (3, 5)   _ _ _        _ _ _ _ _
The 2 letter abbreviation for FOR  EXAMPLE, the abbreviation for GOOD,
and the colour of one side of a chess match.
'May be beaten by a whisker' in this case, is in the kitchen.
 

5)  Judge again finding donkeys in half of resort.  (8 )   R _ A _ _ _ _ S
