WR Cryptic Crossword Clues 6-6-18

A very good evenong to the Rejects crossworders.
Welcome to our midweek melange of mindbenders.  

GOOD LUCK

WR CRYPTIC CROSSWORD CLUES 6-6-18

1)  Prison agitation.  (4)   _ _ _ _
An easy one to start us off.
An informal word for PRISON, and how you might agitate a cup of tea.


2)  Smoke and mirrors in timeless political solution strangely not over (7,8 )   O _ _ _ _ _ _        I _ _ _ _ _ _ _
An anagram (strangely) of POLITICAL, without the T (timeless) and SOLUTION, without the abbreviation for O(ver) (not over).


3)  Straightlaced little girl with Satellite receiver.  (7)   P _ _ _ _ _ _
A shortened (little) girl’s first name, followed by how you might receive a satellite picture.


4)  Crazy toddler may sit on this.  (5)   _ _ _ _ _
An informal word for CRAZY, and what a toddler may sit on,
 

5) Scholarly King comes to bad end.  (7)   _ _ _ _ _ _ _
A Shakespearean King followed by an anagram (bad) of END.
   

6)  Fruits seen in Jerusalem on shelves.  (6)   _ _ _ _ _ _
I consecutive letters in the clue.
   

7)  Regret concerning TV Detective.  (7)  R _ _ _ _ _ E
The usual 2 letter word for CONCERNING, followed by a well known TV Detective.
   

8 ) What Beethoven did, calm.  (8 )   C_ _ _ _ _ _ D
Can you suss it?


9)  Left at home to occupy a sibling.  (8 )   S _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The usual 2 letter word for being AT HOME, inside (occupy) a word for a SIBLING.
LEFT in this case is as used in heraldry.
   
   
10) Non combatant in new Renault  (7)  _ _ _ _ _ _ _
A final anagram (new) of RENAULT.
