Thank you WW.
You are our star turn

I recall reading it all those years ago, it's quite funny and about

a young boy growing up in Dublin.

If memory serves, I don't think it has any chapters,

just one continuous narrative.

That sounds like Terry Pratchett's Books, a lot of the early ones didn't have chapters. Here's a comment from the man himself on that very Subject..........

There's actually a lot of sense in those comments.

I've never read any Terry Pratchett, I know he has a loyal fan base.

They're called 'Discworld' ((spellage) if memory serves.

Discworld is a lot of his books, but he also wrote a lot of books for children, The Carpet People, Johnny and The Bomb, Truckers, Johnny and the Dead, Only You Can Save Mankind, Dragons at Crumbling Castle (Short stories) and many others. He also wrote The Long Earth Series with Stephen Baxter. He often writes a lot of sense, even though his books are Fantasy, you can view our world between the lines. My avatar is a character from his books, and a Pratchett comment as my signature. If you ever want to see what his writing and humour are like, Start with a book called "Good Omens" It isn't a Discworld book but it is very funny. Mac is a fan of Pratchett as well, He recognised my avatar when I first joined WW, That's why he always calls me Esme, Its Weatherwax's first name. Laughing Laughing
