FLOWER in this case is something that FLOWS.
     

3)  Tot swallowed by fish. it's a nightmare   (3,5)   B _ _     D _ _ _ _
TOT in this case is mathematical, inside a fish.
 

4)  Vessel for Baseball player..   (7   P _ _ _ _ _ R
A double definition,
VESSEL in this case is a container.
