3)  Team full of power beginning to respect spinner (6)  S _ _ _ _ _
A sporting team holds (full of) the abbreviation for POWER followed by the first letter of RESPECT.


4)  A French chap will welcome universal balm (7)  U _ _ _ _ _ T
The French indefinite article and then the abbreviation for universal is inside chap or man.


5)  Twenty five quid dog has a nice hairstyle. (8 )  P _ _ _ _ _ _ L
The slang for twenty-five quid plus a verb to dog or follow
