WR Cryptic Crossword Clues 12-12-18

1)  No longer left with something to sell abroad (6)
An easy one to start us off.
The prefix indicating ‘former’ or ‘no longer’, followed by the nautical term for left.


2)  Specialized corps in army role, as arranged (5,7)
An anagram (arranged) of IN ARMY ROLE AS.
 

3) Regal lady, see me turn back with reporters following  (7)  E _ _ _ _ _ _ S
Reverse ME (turn back) followed by a name for newspaper reporters.
     

4)  City roads not ready?  It’s unbearable! (4,5)  L _ _ _          _ _ _ _ W
The abbreviation for Los Angeles (city) followed by two abbreviation for street (streets being in the plural) and a three letter word meaning not ready or unripe.


5) Plaster reportedly adhered to nothing (6)  S _ _ _ _ O
A homophone (reportedly) of a word that means ADHERED followed by the letter representing nothing.
   

6)  Looking back, Melba reviled nudity in part that’s impossible to perform (13)    
In consecutive letters within the clue but reversed (looking back).
   

7)  Father’s due back from the psychoanalyst. (5)   F _ _ _ _
Start with the abbreviation for FATHER, see if you can suss it.

8 ) Hold back from the chorus (7)  R _ _ _ _ _ N
A double definition

9)  Quiet inhabitant lives in the White House  (9)   _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Start with the single letter for musical quiet.

A very good effort mon ami, you got them all correct apart from clue 5,

who's answer was 'STUCCO' which is plaster work.

And yes it IS tres cowd!!!!! LOL.
