WR Cryptic Crossword Clues 13-3-19

A very good Wednesday night to all you Rejects Crossworders.

(1)  Working daily, in theory (2,5)   O _     P _ _ _ _
An easy one to start us off.
The regular term meaning WORKING is followed by a daily, the Daily Telegraph is an example.


2)  One enters her tent drunk, this could be unlucky (8 )
The Roman numeral for ONE is inserted in (enters) an anagram (drunk) of HER TENT


3)  Deceive Bishop in the morning having first drop of lime in alcoholic drink (9)   B _ _ _ _ _ _ _ E
Begin with the single letter abbreviation for BISHOP, add the two-lettered abbreviation denoting the period before noon.
Add a slang term meaning alcohol into which you need to insert the first letter of the word LIME.
   

4)  How the young impatiently question progress towards objective.   (3, 2, 5, 3)  A _ _      W _      T _ _ _ _      Y _ _
Can you suss it?


5)  Dear former partner lost in thought (9)   E _ _ _ _ _ _ _ E
A two letter word for a former lover or partner followed by a seven letter word meaning lost in thought.

The answer is LENTIL, you got it

An explanation. Lady shortly = LIL, going round hospital dept = ENT.


I think a LEGUME is a pea or bean, but a LENTIL is a pulse.

Friday till Monday you do get some free wi fi in
certain areas but they make it hard work , so unless

Just to confuse matters!!!! LOL

Pulses are part of the legume family (any plants that grow in pods), but the term “pulse” refers only to the dry edible seed within the pod. Beans, lentils, chickpeas and split peas are the most common types of pulses. Pulses are special because they have distinct health benefits apart from other legumes.
