There is a lovely story which surfaces from time to time , concerning an old lady who takes her home grown cannabis to combat her MS. They have hauled her off to court on numerous occasions, and, at least when last I heard, she had always won and had the case thrown out.

THC is a pain reliever, (Rather like an opioid. Can't remember the name of the popular drug used in the UK but banned in the US.) though it's increase in psychotic episodes or long-term schizophrenia deem it unfavourable.
CBD is very desirable, as it is non-psychoactive, and has huge medicinal benefits.
Yes, the THC in medicinal still has traces, but that's about all, trace. May as well smoke hemp.
