David Letterman should have gotten Johnny Carson's old spot but it went to idiot Jay Leno. He was so crude. Whenever we went to my aunts she played him on tape.

It is well documented that about 120,000 French troops were evacuated from Dunkirk to Britain and the majority of these young men were taken straight back to France to do what they could for their country. They went back with honour and thanked the British for removing them from certain death on the beaches.
Beggars belief that young men from war zones today are allowed to stay in this country without a thought for their families left behind or their country.

In the US, small dogs have to wear spiked coats so Coyotes don't grab them.

I suspect there's some duff info in the above.
Jumping on the bandwagon was recently explained. A US politico. Dressed to the nines and full nine yards??????? Full nine yards was supposedly from the belt of a machine gun.

Also an Americanism. The phrase was in vogue before the feeder belt was invented
