Roses

Last year, my Roses bloomed all Summer, some of the blooms lasting until January.
This year, with exception of one plant (one of my Dans de Feu) they barely made it to August.
Most days, I dead head, 'Balling' seems to have seen off a lot of blooms this year, though my Iceberg variety was also badly afflicted last year.
Guess there is nowt I can do bout it: I try to prune such as to maximise opportunity for ventilation.
Sad: Roses and clematis usually perform better than owt else here, but neither owt to write home bowt this year!
