Bolton council have got a team out on the A6, in Blackrod, filling potholes. They are spending their allowance on what it's meant for, and not on Bolton town centre!

Seems people have to do their driveways about once every year depends on weather and if they do it themselves or have sometone like American paving or another contracted company to do the job.

I believe Burn Transport Ltd used to do the roads down south some years ago. They would use a 3 ton tipper wagon for the job.

The state of our roads is shocking, and it's getting worse
That’s why the Observer is launching a campaign this week to improve the surfaces of our roads. Whether you’re a driver, cyclist or pedestrian, potholes are a costly and dangerous menace as vehicles attempt to swerve to avoid a looming crater or bounce through them risking uncertain damage or causing an accident. Drivers frustrated by the borough’s pothole problem have been given some cause for relief in Wigan Council’s annual budget. Leader Lord Peter Smith last week announced at the full council meeting that half a million pounds will be ploughed into road and pavement repairs.

Time the highways depts started using plastic or rubber when road laying...Or concrete, that lasts longer than tarmac.
Mind, if they legalised cannabis and used the money to fund road repairs they could call it Operation pot hole.

There were 99 pedal cyclist KSIs (killed or seriously injured casualties) in reported road accidents allocated the contributory factor “Poor or Defective road surface” on local roads (for England) or all non-motorway roads (for Scotland and Wales) from 2014 to 2015. A local road has been defined as a road maintained by the local authority. The following table shows the totals for each of the separate years, by road class:

Today, I went down Park Road, in Hindley. There was a tarmac truck, next to Leyland Park, with two workmen pouring tarmac straight into potholes. Them bodged repairs will last six months!
