Must have been very distressing for the old people. One has to ask who opened the gates.

The lock paddles on the Wigan Flight will have been what was opened and the flight goes through Higher Ince, so some Ince knobheads will have gone down the flight opening all the paddles

Tonks, again with the pedantry. Pool St, as you well know is where the bungalows are situated.

I don't know cos he ran off, but I didn't knock him over and there wasn't a bang when I hit him, he sort of used the panel in front of the bonnet to lift himself up and over the bumper and then he legged it, so I think he was alright, but I had two witnesses and I reported it to the police

Why not say that then? Anyroadup, if the locks near Wigan Pier were opened (as it says in the report), I can't understand how the water got across the River Douglas onto Pool Street, because the Douglas has very high banks there (or do we have to take that with a pinch of salt too?).

the water came down the road, the Douglas has a bridge with a wall either side, apparently it was a torrent....
quit nitpicking, several elderies some bedridden are now homeless thanks to some tossers who don't give a flying ......
