Well today you find it at the bottom of Sullivan Way, the road it sits on is Windsor Street, but it does not really exist anymore, it is now basically a path which goes up to Great Acre via a short street called Wynard Avenue, but in 1977 I remember walking down that path and all the property from St Georges to Greenough Street had been demolished, with just the cobbled streets remaining and Windsor Street led down from the side of St Georges to Greenough Street, emerging at the side of the then bridge over the River Duggie ...

Windsor Street is still there Sir Bob, granted it starts in the middle of nowhere and runs to nowhere, but it is still signed as Windsor Street, and is a fully adopted road. I can see where you are coming from however.

I was only parked up there last Monday. On the other side of the wall, on Central Park Way, there is a plaque that reads, 'George Formby lived near here. I wonder if he went to that School.

Indeed, he did. Until he was two. Two-year-olds don't go to school !

There are some great engravings on the surrounding school walls done by the kids, dates, names and even the odd swastika, they span many years.
