The lives of dozens of Wigan men and boys who died in a local pit disaster will be permanently remembered by a poignant memorial. It was Hindley History Society monthly meeting tonight.
I did a talk in November about a long lost letter my Mum had sent
to her Aunt, and which a complete stranger had found at a car boot sale,
incredibly 74 years later.
Got talking to Keith about it tonight and we were comparing surnames,
it turns out we are related.
I had a cousin Clifford Wood, who is Keith's Uncle, amazing.
First time I've spoken to Keith ever.
