Apparently, they used to have a portrait of their current King moulded onto Spanish man-hole covers !

When I was at school, primary school, I used to like asking awkward questions and that was one question I asked, which was "why are manhole covers called manhole covers, why are they not called womanhole covers" now most answers I got to questions like that were of a 'negative' nature, a common answer would be "shut up" but one day I asked the question about manhole covers to a young new teacher and she explained that the word 'man' reffered to both men and women as in the word 'mankind' and man is a short version of the word 'human' so yoo get words such as 'humankind' but 'man' when used in the context of 'manhole' meant 'mankind' which can refer to both men and women ...
