Gordon has died at the age of 81 it was a pleasure and a thrill to watch this great sportsman. RIP

RIP Gordon Banks. Great Goalkeeper and a gentleman, lucky enough to watch him play a good few times

Our Nora was pregnant during the world cup , when "Banksie " made that save , I pointed to her tum and said if that's a boy I want to call him Gordon , he was born in July so we called him Jason , Gordon . (Jason , because of his initials ( July August September October ,November).............What a spotsman , roll model , and gentleman .Always was my hero . RIP.

I remember the story of a church who's large notice board had the phrase "Jesus Saves" and someone had wrote underneath "But Not As Good As Gordon Banks!"

theres a tale about that world cup save , as banksy is getting up
off the floor after the save someone pats him on the head , bobby
moore i think and if you look at banksy he starts to grin its said that
moore says to him " i thought you might have caught that banksie "
