Thousands of people are being evacuated from a town because part of a reservoir wall has collapsed in floods.
Engineers are pumping water from the 300-million-gallon Toddbrook Reservoir amid fears it could burst and swamp Whaley Bridge in Derbyshire.
Police have told the town's 6,500 residents to gather at a school, taking pets and medication with them.
A severe flood warning, which means a threat to life, has been issued for the River Goyt below the reservoir.

Work to prevent a damaged dam in Derbyshire from bursting is continuing as the Met Office warns of thunderstorms and possible flooding.
Workers have reduced the water level at the 300-million-gallon Toddbrook Reservoir near Whaley Bridge.
But the risk of collapse remains at a "critical level" and there is a yellow weather warning for the area on Sunday.

They will find a reason not to pay out. They always do. I feel for those affected.Boris Johnson assures Whaley Bridge residents of 'housing' if dam bursts. Lets hope he is true to his word

Britain’s 2,800 dams: why they were built and how safe are they?

That one is used to supply the canal system. others are used to supply drinking water, don't forget its pointless boiling a kettle if there's no water in it

If you're making drinks, you should always fill a kettle 'just enough' and throw away what's left, always refilling with fresh water every boil.
