A short film showing a bridge over a canal doesn't constitute " a look round " anywhere!

Thank you Mr Tonkerton, if you ' look round' it does constitute a look round because you're not looking straight on,

According to the plans for the new road, there will be a slip road down to Poolstock, which will run in what has been up to now that void between the road and the canal bank ....
I think those Gooses were from Canada ....
That cobbled path at the side of the River Douglas from Fourteen Meadows Road to Newtown, used to be as busy with walkers, as the canal path is, but since they closed Fourteen Meadows Road, it has become overgrown and unused ....

At least you said Scotsman and not Scotchman, Mester Tom. But still expect a kicking when Tonker sees it.

You really want to watch out, Mester Tom. It clearly says Scotman's on the map.
There's a funny thread from years ago on WW about a farmhouse under the water. I'll see if I can find it before Tonker gets agate of you.

Don't go looking for it on your own. If you fall in, you might drown!

there are no fish in theer, I've never caught one and, I've never ever seen one caught in there and seagulls never fly over it,
the wind ALWAYS blows towards the canal,
the farm was probably a flat with no arial

If I do fall in, I'll use the farmhouse phone to get help. The line about ringing the phone and looking for bubbles made me laugh good and proper years ago.
