I finally got my refund off Westjet for the cancelled flight from last year, 15 months chasing my money back and THEY cancelled the flight, not me, bastards, I wont be flying again with them, I know aircanada are more expensive but, they give better baggage allowance, bigger seats and more leg room, So from now on, they get my business,

You should've asked them for the statutory 8% interest !

As the coronavirus situation is classified as an extraordinary circumstance, it is outside of the scope of airlines’ control, and thus, they are not obliged to offer compensation. This includes flights to and from any areas affected by a travel warning or ban.
Airlines must abide by travel restrictions, as well as protect the health and safety of their passengers and crew.

But ..... not refunding your money for 15 months is wholly in their control.

She told me that, I had been refunded before my turn because of goodwill on their behalf , their priories are,
1. Canadian customers
2. USA customers
3. UK customers
then using that scale went of the date of booking and the rewards system they have, IE regular travelers, casual travellers but because I have midered them like a nest of rats , I got paid early, pha,,,

Well done Tom. We used our credit card points to pay for flights to Dublin. CIBC will not put the points back in our account until they have received their money off Westjet. We speak to the every couple of weeks.

Tom, We are looking to travel to UK IN February. Our preferred route is Calgary- Schipol- Manchester. Cost about $1000 each. Westjet Calgary to Gatwick is less than $300 each. Problem is no flights Gatwick to Manchester.

Our prefered route before was Glasgow to Halifax and we drove to Glasgow, its much easier than Heathrow , We only every did Gatwick Once, that is a complete nightmare driving to Gatwick, You do the Last 40 miles at 0.5 miles per hour,,

Tom,
I worked on a job in Worthing around thirty years ago and drove there for a 7am start every Monday passing both Heathrow and Gatwick. We were booked Calgary to Dublin last year but they don’t fly in Winter. Will get sorted. Only using credit card points anyway.

We don't normally have any traffic congestion trouble passing either Heathrow or Gatwick on our way to the chunnel. That said, we avoid it at 'going home time'!
Broady, try Calgary to Paris, then a Ryanair to Liverpool for £14.99!
I once looked at train fares from Gatwick to Warrington. It was just short of £200 each. And they want people to start using trains more ??????

Will look at it Tonker. Thanks. I used to drive home mid Saturday morning and when I was near Heathrow Concord would fly over and I knew it would be in New York before I was in Wiggin. As a bonus they were working on Thelwall at that time.
