Bonehead
A bonehead is someone thick-skulled, a blockhead. The word is a combination of bone, from Old English ban (bone) + head, from Old English heafod (top of the body). Earliest documented use: 1903.
USAGE:
“Mr Bush is widely seen, abroad if not at home, as a bonehead with more brawn than brain.”

Diad
Just to clarify:
In music, a diad is a set of two notes or pitches that, in particular contexts, may imply a chord. Diads can be classified by the interval between the notes. Take the notes For example, the interval between C and E is a major third, which can imply a C major chord, made up of the notes C, E and G. When the pitches of a diad occur in succession, they form a melodic interval. When they occur simultaneously, they form a harmonic interval.

de rigueur
Adjective
Strictly required, as by etiquette, usage, or fashion.
One of the many French words that us ‘wordy’folk like to throw into conversation to show off.
I suspect it stems from hundreds of years ago after the Norman conquest , when French was the language of court, law and government.
